What we keep, and how to make us forget it.

Salaries, rents and cities you type into the calculator are handled entirely in your browser. They are not transmitted to us and we never see them. Pinning your number saves it to your own device using local storage, and clearing your browser data removes it.

When you add a job to your board we store what you entered — company, role, city, the salary and rent you typed, and its stage — in a Postgres database so it is still there when you come back.

Before you have an account, that board is tied to a random identifier in a cookie on your device. That cookie exists only to find your board again; it is not used for advertising, and it is not shared. If you later sign in, the board is moved onto your account so you do not lose it.

If you answer the questions and generate a plan, we store the answers you gave and the plan produced, so the link keeps working. The link is long and unguessable and the page asks search engines not to index it, but anyone you send it to can read it. Do not put anything in the free-text box you would not want stored.

Signing in is optional. If you do, authentication is handled by Clerk, which stores your email address and sign-in details on our behalf under their own privacy policy. We use your email to keep your board attached to you and, if you ask us to, to tell you when something on it has gone stale. We do not sell it and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.

Hosting and serverless functions run on Vercel. The database is Neon Postgres. Generated plans are stored in Vercel Blob. Plan text is produced by a large language model reached through Vercel’s AI Gateway; the answers you gave are sent to that model in order to write your plan. Authentication is Clerk. These providers process data on our instructions to run the service.

Board entries stay until you delete them or ask us to remove your account. Removing a card deletes that row. Plans persist so their links keep working.

To have everything associated with you erased, email hello@example.com and we will delete it. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to ask what we hold, to correct it, or to receive a copy — the same address covers all of that.

This is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
